On Your Own!

Choose five retailers and five name brand manufacturers to contact. Write a letter or send a postcard to the CEO of the company. You can easily get the addresses from your local library.

Ask what steps they take to ensure that the products they sell are made under decent conditions. Request a written response.

Write your U.S. Representative and two Senators. Ask them to support the Stop Sweatshops Act of 1997.
