LifeSmarts 2013: What a competition!
After four exciting days of individual assessments, group activities, and team buzzer matches, the Paxon School for Advanced Studies from Jacksonville, Florida outlasted 38 other teams from around the country to claim the title of LifeSmarts champion in the annual national competition. This year’s championship in Atlanta was the biggest competition ever, featuring teams from 35 states, the District of Columbia, and two student organizations, FCCLA and FBLA.
LifeSmarts season open for competition!
The 2012-2013 LifeSmarts season is officially underway this fall, with a new competition year going live at the program’s online home, www.lifesmarts.org, along with a variety of new consumer resources for adult and youth participants, and exciting expansion into several new states.
LifeSmarts program ends season with successful event in Philly
What a year! The 2012 LifeSmarts season has come to a close with the 2012 National LifeSmarts Championship in Philadelphia, where the student team from Frederick, MD was crowned national LifeSmarts champions. After an exciting final match against the second-place team from Jacksonville, FL, the teens from the Maryland Home Schoolers outscored their opponents and did it with great sportsmanship. Teams from Pennsylvania and Rhode Island placed third.
