About Keynote Speaker Rachel Uzlik, CPHQ

In light of the opioid crisis, at Twin Cities Orthopedics, researchers wanted to figure out how to change prescription practices. They began tracking 3,000 patients and their prescriptions in 2017 and launched new prescription guidelines for all of its physicians and addressed patient education the next year. Bringing a perspective of a large private practice, Rachel will discuss the research, practice changes and the feedback they received from their patients in their efforts to reduce reliance on opioids in treating pain.
